Application

• Extraction: The main purpose of nucleic acid extraction methods is to disintegrate the cell envelope and achieve maximum elimination of lipids and proteins to obtain pure DNA and/or RNA.
• Cell Quality: The quality of the extracted nucleic acids also depends on the quality of the starting sample.
• Cell lysis: applied to disrupt cell envelopes include: osmotic shock, cell cultures and erythrocytes, for all types of samples with the exception of some Gram-negative bacteria, enzymatic degradation and detergents, for tissue cultures.
